Parking Eye ANPR PCN - 6mins stay - Fitness First Wigan ***Cancelled by Fitness First***

Recommended Posts

I've just received a PCN, for entering a car park for 6 mins.

Apparently the limit of use of the car park is 0h 0m.

The kind people issuing the ticket are Parkingeye.

Do I have grounds for an appeal?

Thanks

Thanks HB, DX

Sadly I learned that it can be an anti climax, and quite costly by pursuing an appeal with false expectation.

Do I need to scan the document it is such a hassle the way it has to be done so strictly? Please don't take offence by that, it is just so time consuming.

how do you know there is no grace period on this car park-it isn't usually mentioned in their signage.

Please don't forget to include the PCN front and back as they are the important bits that regulate whether the PCN is compliant with th

I've just called Fitness First in Wigan, and apparently they will cancel the ticket for me.

Apparently there is a 5 min grace period, but they have said I can disregard it now.

Well done on your victory!  👏

However, don't get drawn into the "logic" of the silly rules they make up.  There is not a 5 -minute grace period.  As Homer67 said, there is an minimum industry-wide 10-minute grace period.  This has been extended to 15 minutes by the recent government Code of Practice.

We could do with some help from you.

Thanks Dave, and thanks again to all for your brilliant advice as always.

I've learned a lesson here, I honesty wasn't aware of such a short, or even non existent parking period. How are these companies allowed to get away with these stunts, it really is disgusting.

I know there was signage there, but I assumed it was the usual periods, there was certainly no dramatic signage at the entrance, to which this parking period would truly deserve.

Anyway thanks again
