Will my credit score improve if I pay off my ccjs before the 6 years?

And what’s the likelihood of being accepted for a mortgage?

In a situation where I can pay off the ccjs I know this will still be on my file until the 6 years are up but will appear as settled!

Sorry lots of questions guidance would be appreciated

  • dx100uk changed the title to Will my credit score improve if I pay off my ccjs before the 6 years? - Please advise

no

wont change even if you pay them off

a satisfied CCJ is as bad a a non satisfied one.

dates of the ccj's and who got them for what type of debt might help us explain better.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thank you,

can you provide more information on this please?

2ccjs

one due to drop of January 2023 old catalogue

the other October 2024 credit card debt!

Once they have gone either settled or satisfied what’s the stance on mortgage approval?

Thank you

so these CCJ's are from

jan 2017

and

october 2018

are these listed against your current address or attained at an old address.

unless you are being chased there is little point in paying them off, it will not improve your chances of a mortgage

though in this day and age even most prime lenders seem to be approving mortgages with 1 CCJ.

so p'haps try after jan 2023

i will gather these are also CCJ's attained by DCA's?

so you just ignored everything when you got the two court claimforms back in 2017/18?

thats your real problem here!!

if you'd responded and correctly defended i bet you'd not have these CCJ's now.

there is not a lot you can do toward these CCJ's that is going to help you by june for a mortgage bar using the money you have to get as big of a deposit as you can, and don't use fleecing mortgage brokers or any IFA either, !! go direct to prime lenders yourself.
