Hi all,

I've been meaning to reclaim my bank charges for a while, but I have a problem....We opened our account with Halifax in Scotland before we got married, then moved down to England in 1998. The branch address is still the Scottish one, though we've been in England for all the time we'd be claiming for - so do I claim under the Scottish regs or the English ones? If I have to file a claim with the Sherrif's court, will I have to do it in person or can a friend who still lives there do it for me?

Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.

Ginni

As you live in England, you can claim under Engllish law, which means amongst other things that you can claim up to £5000 in the small claims court.

Good luck with your claim.

Regards, Rooster.
