Hi there,

Had letter in from halifax this morning asking for a payment of £240 into my account as i am £240 over my overdraft limit. I had a payment plan in place to pay this back at £60 per month.....but as they took £60 of charges from me this month, I couldn't afford the payment!!

Do I phone them? Do I ignore it? Do I pay it?

Is this the same account that is in dispute re bank charges?

I would first try and call them, backing up whatever you say on the phone in a letter, and try to reason with them regarding the reason you couldnt pay your £60 this month.

Try that first.

yeah, its the same account that's in dispute.

So when I call, should I even mention that I am asking for my charges back?

I have called previously (before posting this) and asked them not to apply the charges, but they refused!!
