my three final bill is £35.78

i received a notification that the account on my credit report is settled. Surely it needs to be paid first before it’s settled

The contracts over, the final bill is 35.78, they have marked the account as settled on my credit report which is marked as a closed account.

 

it was my understanding limited as it may be that means it’s all paid up etc?

I can't say for certain whether it is all paid up but it certainly suggests that you are getting any more trouble in the future.
