@Hermesparcels Hermes – the worst of a bad bunch - Martijn de Lange CEO

Recommended Posts

Parcel delivery firms are failing to deliver on customer satisfaction, according to a league table.

Hermes and Yodel came bottom in a survey by Citizens Advice (CA) and Amazon Logistics was top, but all the firms had performance issues.

The report, ahead of the busy Christmas period, compared several criteria, including customer service and trust.

Delivery firms were a lifeline for many people during lockdown but there are "huge cracks" in the sector, CA said.

No delivery firm received more than three out of five stars overall.

The charity's report found:

  • Hermes and Yodel performed the worst, scoring 1.5 and 1.75 stars respectively
  • Amazon Logistics scored highest, but with just 2.75 stars overall
  • DPD scored lowest when consumers were asked if they'd had a problem with their last delivery
  • When trying to resolve issues, 48% of people polled weren't able to get the help they wanted, rising to 56% for Yodel and 43% for Amazon Logistics.

Hermes at bottom of a Citizens Advice league table, but most major firms had satisfaction problems.

I see that Hermes have been approached for a comment and have made no comment so far.

Big surprise!
