Got into a bit of trouble when I went self employed in 2019 , then the pandemic hit .

Do have a bit of arrears maybe 4/5 months and only got 5 months left of a 5 year agreement.

I have been making payments as per payment arrangement until last month when they took contractual amount.

To my surprise today I have received a termination notice even when I have been making payments every month.

Any advice please

no such thing...and they cant terminate without issuing a default notice anyway.

ive moved you to the moneybarn forum (provident in sheeps clothing)

sadly moneybarn make up and interpret the rules they must abide by as they go along.

the car will be protected goods they can only get it back if you agree DONT!!, or they goto court and get a return of goods order, which will take more that 5mts anyway as they HAVe to abide by the pre action protocol and the new gov't breathing space scheme.

do you have ALL the statements from day one?

have been hit with lots of unlawful arrears/late/default/letter charges?

unlawfully inflating the supposed balance?

god no never ever ring them just like a powerless dca they will lie on the phone.

i expect they are threatening to come repo the car using some powerless muppet with a flatbed? anglia...burlingtons?

well if they do and they take it, without your signed agreement (DONT) then that voids the whole agreement under the consumer credit act and you are entitled to ALL your payments back, and keep the car or it current monetary value back too.
