Lantern debt recovery.

Good afternoon all.

 

So I have received an email from lantern debt recovery but its a bit of a strange one and I'm not quite sure whether they are allowed to do what the have done.

 

I had some cheque cashing loans (cheque centres ltd) from the past (I guess from over 6 years ago)

 

And I have recently (about 3/4years ago)  had a loan from everyday loans.

 

Now I have an email from lantern as below and they have rolled it all into 1 and it's showing on my credit file that the start date is from 08/08/2018.

they should not be using email, they have no way of knowing you got it.

 

so they've purchased your complete portfolio now.

 

 

do you know if there is a link between cheque centres ltd and everyday loans?

 

have you moved since starting your relationship with each original company?

 

i have moved you to the Lantern/MMF forum, they are well know for pulling stunts like this too.

and you did not update the original creditor you had moved..just ran away?

No mate not at all.

Long story short and don't want to go into details but my soon to be ex wife had the loan but in my name and I didn't realise til recently and said she was going to be paying it etc which she obviously hasn't.
