DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

oh good hens and teeth might prevail here then

them having a signed credit agreement that is also enforceable is quite rare for the age.

is there anything in the SAR?

i will guess at some point an agreement was signed, or was it an application form from a magazine or something that you sent to get the card..

this could be fun, i'm tempted to just say stop paying cap1 and they'll sell it on...

well you could send cap1 a CCA request but that might best be saved for when/if it gets sold to a DCA.

at present you were only paying £16PCM? so with the savings of not paying the other cash cow accounts due to no CCA returns in 12+2days.

it might be best to let this one run.

generally..get yourself upto speed and get reading a good few threads in the debtself help forum where your other thread is.

Hi, I have had a capital one cc debt which I have been paying for the past 12years + on a payment plan with capital one.

As the debt was still with the oc, I have not proceeded with cca requests as advised.

However today I received a letter from cap one saying that the debt has been sold to lowell.

The letter says to cancel any s/o with cap one and set up new with lowell.

Any advice on what I should do now please.

Cancel the Standing order DO NOT set another one up or send any payments to Lowell.
When they write to you Send the CCA request

We have a card from the same time, mine was 2004, and they cant find mine so stopped paying and refused to pay anything further. This was years ago.
