My wife had a debt of £300 to British gas.. which Lowell have purchased.. then obtained a CCJ.

Their threat o letters are suggesting bailiffs... however, i thought bailiffs could not be used for utility bills.

am i correct?

nothing to d owith it being a util bill, its a consumer credit debt, bailiff dont have any powers of forced entry on consumer debt and can to all intent and purpose can be ignored.

however its not got that far anyway, just a silly threat o gram.

tell us about the hidtory of the debt pleae

and this time dont vanish and not complete the thread till its resolve like your have with most of your others here..

have you a copy of the ccj and the original claimform kicking around?

why was the claim not defended , lowell would have lost handsdown had this been defended and not ignored?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
