I owe Paypal money & they've passed it onto westcott

Sigh!

Hello all,

Okay so I owe Paypal money etc and they've been constantly asking for me to pay them.

Trouble is I've got a new mobile number, and I've tried several times to login and change, yet they keep asking to send a message to my old number which I no longer have access to!

I phoned Paypal and told them about the change of number several days ago, today I try to login-and my number has not been updated!

Yet they insist on a phone number (yes I know for security reasons, but what if somebody doesn't own a mobile number, or doesn't want to give it a Paypal?)

So anyhow the debt has been passed onto wescott or westcott-whatever their name is.

The most pathetic thing being wescottt sending me what clearly resembles a payslip and after having opened it, it says I owe them money blah, blah, yada, yada, yada.

I cannot login into Paypal and cannot check what is going on, but I was wondering what will happen now?

What powers to wescottt have?

But can Paypal do anything themselves?

I mean my credit score has gone downhill-no surprises there 🤣

But what shall I do, can Paypal do anything?

I mean I'm not willing to offer anything more than £10 per month to pay them back (like many others due to covid work issues) but I don't know what to do now 😕

What is the debt..PayPal credit or just buying/selling stuff?  And how far does this date back too?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Is this your only debt ?

Think about whether you will need a decent credit record during the next few years.

I purchased an item 2 years ago, no selling, just a purchase.

I know I should have done something about it sooner, but when I changed my mobile number I tried to login into my account and it kept asking for to send a code to the older phone number-but I no longer had access to this older number, so there was nothing I could do.
