They can't say they didn't have ample opportunity to resolve the problems, Mum not only has no broadband but now has no phone as well so we've kicked TalkTalk into touch, they can whistle for their £75 disconnection charge.

Thing is we want another supplier, free or cheap as poss and wondering if anyone has had experience of Sky broadband or can recommend another supplier. I'm with Plusnet and really happy with the service but they're not the cheapest and she doesn't have too much money to throw about. Having waited since March and still having no talktalk BB, don't want to make the same mistake again!

Thank you in anticipation

hi janquinny we,re currently with orange took out a new contract (phone)broadband is i say free but we pay £32 per month calls included on the phone where as we were paying £21.99 for broadband and £19 on a mobile ,just means saving a few pounds ,service is ok ,but customer service is RUBBISH :-| .however my m/in law is on tiscali and i think she pays £14.99 unlimited use (time online)basic download and evening w/e local calls are free .

Cheers for that lilal, the tiscali seems quite good, don't want to confuse things with mobile as she's 77 - need I say more?!?

If 1 meg BB is sufficient she could get on this package for £9.99 for 3 months and £12.99 thereafter.

Up to 1Mb Broadband and Free Weekend Talk

PUTTING IT IN WRITING & KEEPING COPIES IS A MUST FOR SUCCESS

I have switched over to Orange (free with my £35 a month mobile contract) and I have to say I'm really chuffed with it. I was with Plus Net too, but Orange is around twice as fast, and you get a funky wireless router too. Have also a phone connected to it for free off peak calls to landlines and other Orange mobiles, and they have just added the ability to plug printers etc into the livebox for wireless printing as well!

No, I work in corporate finance rather than consumer finance!

That is terrible, im sure it must be in certain areas, i was connected on time and havent had a prob yet.

How annoying for you as they are cheap!!

I watched the watchdog program on talktalk and the excuses were not acceptable.

Also taking legal action on customers not paying when they had not even had a service yet just plain stupidity.

I have 1 problem since talktalk BB and thats my phone won't ring.

Its handy as this months phonebill is over due.:D But have to get BT out soon:rolleyes: i supposse.

I hope your mum does get it sorted soon she can join you in chat;)

 She can't do that!!!! I keep telling her I'm busy with uni work when she asked why I haven't been to see her!!!!!

lol That's the only problem with technology now - my Da bought me a webcam to use with my computer when I moved out for Uni, so that 'we could chat and I could see you...'

EEK! I don't want my Da popping up on my PC whenever he feels like it! I can handle text chatting, but with a webcam he can actually see what I'm doing at the same time........ :-o:rolleyes:
