Capquest claim provident debt is not SB'd as there is a 10yrs CCJ

Recommended Posts

I've had the same also,I've sent them the sb template,I have just received a letter back from them stating because I had a ccj it is not sb,this provident debt must be over 10 years old,and no ccj on any of my credit files?

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thats cabot for you.

a ccj wont show on your credit file once it reaches 6yrs , however yes cabot are correct a judgement halts the sb, but ofcourse then it also means they havent enforced it in thus long which is very rarely grants.. ID also guess cabot were not the original claimant either.

Pers i wouldn't have responded at all

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Little they can do really..yours is not the next move. If the ccj is +6yrs old without enforcement. They would have to return to court of which a court would advise of such.

Its worthy to note weve seen quite a few provident old doorstep loan? CLaims/default ccj's whereby the debt was already sb'd at time of issuance
