barclays & barclaycard

Today, Barclaycard removed £400 from my account, despite Barclays terms & conditions stating that

 

7.5 We may use any amounts you have on any account with us in any currency to reduce or repay any amounts you may owe us on any account (including on card accounts you hold with us, and any other amounts you may owe us), either in your own name or jointly with anyone else. We will tell you if we do this. ....

 

This was done without notice

 

I contacted telephone banking who were useless, then Barclaycard who told me "we can just do it"

 

Have I any recourse, apart from a snotty letter, & a complaint to the british banking association?

I should also add that apparently Barclaycard has access to all my Barclay accounts, & can remove money from any of them.

Just how secure is Barclays bank if they allow 3rd parties to monitor their customers accounts, as I have had no money in the account for 2 years, yet as soon as any comes into it, Barclaycard are there to take it out
