Boris Johnson Prime Minister

Recommended Posts

I see the complint about met not investigating what it should have addressed ast the time 'covid breaches by government' has been dismissed on a false (IMO) tecnicality in that the complainenet wasn't directly affected by (invited to?) the parties

I beg to differ - the whole country has been affected by the rule makers being penalty free rule breakers

I see the government has used the run up to Christmas to quietly announce a visa scheme for care workers and another for agricultural workers. It's to be hoped they attract enough people.

There appears to be a slide towards authoritarian ways in many countries. In the US, there are mandatory requirements for many public sector workers to have Covid vaccinations.

Indeed. I can se both sides of that debate, UB. What's more concerning is voter ID that could stop poorer people and minorities [non-Tory supporters] from voting, the ability to strip immigrants of their citizenship without giving a reason, stopping the ability to protest and so on.

Next week will be interesting, won't it? I hope it goes better than last year.

Did you see Johnson's article on the advantages of Brexit so far? A lot of it was about having crown marks on pint glasses and being able to buy and sell things in pounds and ounces, plus trade deals with small countries that are nowhere near offsetting lost business from the EU.

Oh, and the new immigration system. But there's already talk of allocating a lot of visas being awarded if a trade deal is signed with India...

No, Britain has the most to lose and HAS lost the most, Its quite clear

- and made far worse by Johnsons corruption, incompetence and dishonesty

- with not just our benefits from EU membership lost, but our position in the world belittled by his antics. Not least of which the Afghanistan farce.

From the remaining EU members France may have the most to lose, and perhaps even lost the most, BUT also has a great deal to gain, and HAS gained MUCH - quite possibly far more than it will lose.

Just a couple of examples:

Seen all that business bypassing the UK and running straight from Ireland - France?

Have you seen the financial migrations to Paris? (even though Paris isnt the greatest gainer from UK finance business losses)

Mind you, a number of  EU migratory workers have lost some business in the UK (Hospitality, care, Transport and Agriculture)

- but see what its done to the UK businesses?

Just look at the headlines and remember the fuel shortages .. and the state of supermarket shelves still ..

Mind you, there have been a number of new UK financial roles

- specialists in moving businesses to the EU by and large it seems ..

"“The hero is the Prime Minister who delivered Brexit. I’m aware as someone said today that regicide is in the DNA of the Conservative party, but a bit of loyalty to the person who won an 83 majority and delivered Brexit wouldn’t go amiss.”

- the quote that got Nadine Dorries kicked out of the ERG whatsap group

Of course, the issue for the ERG is that he hasn't delivered them their hard Brexit ... and whatever the Brexit campaign claimed was to be delivered be damned.

Johnson accuses anti-vaxxers of spreading 'complete nonsense' and 'mumbo jumbo'

"Boris Johnson has condemned anti-vaxxers for spreading “complete nonsense” and “mumbo jumbo” about vaccines. In a pooled broadcast interview during a visit to a vaccination centre, he stressed the importance of vaccination, saying 30 to 40% of patients going to hospital with Covid had not been vaccinated. He went on:

I want to say to the anti-vax campaigners, the people who are putting this mumbo jumbo on social media: they are completely wrong. You haven’t heard me say that before, because I think it’s important we have a voluntary approach in this country and we’re going to keep a voluntary approach ...

What a tragedy that we’ve got all this pressure on the NHS, all the difficulties that our doctors and nurses are experiencing and we’ve got people out there spouting complete nonsense about vaccination."

Is Johnson actually telling some truths at last? No matter how hard it hits his support base Bonkers Brigade?

- Incidentally perhaps, but seems to me he's just still trying to get toppled so he can run away and claim its all not his fault

Boris, I need to ask you about these rumours that you have broken the ministerial code and financial rules

Boris 'The Liar'

I don’t know anything. Its not my problem where money comes from I spend. Off you toddle.

OK – no fault found

Later

It seems you misled me

Boris 'The Liar'

Its not my fault if you didn’t understand that I can do no wrong

Geidt

Well, I’m going to have to say something

Boris 'The Corrupt Liar'

OK, you can say I’m a well liked bit of a rakish jack the lad who did nothing wrong and any misunderstanding was on your part and no fault of mine, and make sure you mention i lost that phone so am not accountable for anything on it

Geidt

OK, no fault found other than being a rakish Jack the lad

I have no words.

Johnson said he changed phones and couldn't access old WhatsApp messages afterwards. Last time I got a new phone, someone told me about a programme that transfers all of your data from the old phone to the new one. Couldn't he have done that or got one of the teenagers in Downing Street to help?

It's sounding a bit Lord Bethel to me.

The thing with that 'old lost' phone is ... its probably the one that has his covid app on too

Regarding the GE2 (great exhibition 2 - great Brexit celebration) V fund my redecoration references,

which Lord Brownlow no doubt thought was some good old Tory you scratch my back with a £100k money for my referb and I'll give you exclusive control of a great national exhibition which will make you millions ..

was just more of Johnson spinning corrupt lying bo****ks to anyone get what he wants until he delivers nowt and then claims 'it didn't happen quite like that so no fault'

Wonder if Brownlow will fall for the same Jonson crap again - he was a bit stupid falling for it once.

No sympathy though - brownlow is experienced enough to know it was dodgy at best - if good old Tory standard practice.

(NO he didnt know it was corrupt - He was clueless squeals brownlows legal team -  he did it all in the good faith belief that he would get the enriching deal and the PM would declare it all above board and blameless if the detail ever came out )
