I'm stating that Johnson practices and policies since day one have

* Undermined UK democracy

* Undermined the rule of law as separate from Government

* Undermined the UK's standing in the world

* Squandered billions in taxpayer money in enriching Tory doners

# Five words that have undermined British democracy, our standing in the world and rule of decent law in our country

Brexit, Johnson, Murdoch, Patel, Braverman

# Five words that have undermined trust and honesty

'We've had enough of experts'

and Johnson should NOT be allowed to create any more Lords

and we're still waiting for you to define some actual benefits of Brexit, and your opinion on the UK trade deal with India especially all those Indian visas ... @theoldrouge

Unlike yourself I have no problem whatsoever with skilled Indian workers and paying students coming to the UK

In fact Indians that I have met are a polite

It's a committee, not a court, TOR. What's your problem with it when four out of seven members are Tories?

Bernard Jenkin has never struck me as radical and this is what he thinks. I do wonder if this new campaign against the committee is connected with the article TJ posted about staff members giving evidence in confidence.

Bernard Jenkin insists investigation will continue despite complaints from prime minister’s allies

No, a kangaroo court in all but name

I am no fan of Johnson due to his inane net zero policies

But to pronounce the guilty verdict on Twitter and change the reference of the inquiry

prior to that inquiry with the connivance of Hoyle is a kangaroo court

Of course the article is being argued from a different perspective

The general consensus

You spouting that 'populist' nonsense doesn't make it anything other than nonsense - apart from polls only including members from what used to be the conservative party

The REAL general consensus is that lockdowns were too late and mismanaged, just as the gifting of taxpayer money to Tory pals via the VIP lane was not only unlawful, but cronyism and mismanagement at the nations expense.

- and that Boris Johnson is a corrupt incompetent liar who should never have been in office.

- as supported by ugov polls among others.

i haven't seen that about Hoyle or changing the terms of reference. He's normally rather supportive of the Tories IMO.

Is that what the Mail and Express, etc are saying? I thought Johnson was going through the same process as any other MP who misleads the House. It's not as if the transcripts aren't available.

Its being delayed if anything, there are a number of instances where Johnson has made false or misleading statements in parliament .. uncorrected. Videos readily available to all.

Like a thief walking into a shop, grinning at the security cam, then grabbing a a cake and a beer and scoffing them .. all without paying - as the pictures show ...

Pretty cut and dried. Whats taking so long

I wonder if Sunak's part of Yorkshire has drought restrictions? A swimming pool is huge amount of water to take out of the system.

I'm no supporter of sunak but in fairness there's no suggestion in the article that he's about to fill it during the drought, they've only just started construction. Unless his builders work a lot faster than the ones I can get at the moment it won't be ready until the winter!

Edit: My builders aren't building me a pool, just replacing guttering (just to clarify 😀)

Perhaps he'd just consider it reallocating resources wasted on unworthy poorer people (almost everyone) to those who deserve it more (rich like him)

.. maybe even a bit to Tunbridge Wells as there seems to be enough rich enough people there..

Quote of the Day

"“Scrapping the health and social care levy, as she (Truss) wants to do, is worth £1,700 to her on her salary,”

“For someone working really hard on the national living wage, it’s worth just over a quid a week."

"And for someone who’s a pensioner, without any earnings, it’s worth zero.”

- Sunak (who is shunting poor peoples resources to 'more deserving rich people in Tunbridge Wells)

How long does it take to:

A) look at the recordings of his statements at Party Mininisters tell lies questions

B) Understand that gatherings were only allowed when essential for work - which having a drink to some Abba music aint - in any circumstances

Guilty as charged - out you go.

Seems to me Sinn Fein is trying to extract the English/DUP wedge shoved into the island of Ireland, and heavily sat on by Johnson the Dividers' fat asses (Johnson, Patel, Davies, Frost etc)

Interesting that despite the Scots and NI mostly voting Remain and the Welsh mostly voting Leave, ALL seem to have a majority who wish to take that Little England wedge and return it to little England

(must admit I'm not so sure about Wales)

Schools ‘considering three day week’ due to soaring energy bills

and Funding Falling below 2010 levels in real terms

Corrected headline

Haven't been seeing teachers pay rising 300%, or even just 100% or even a miserly 11% (inflation)

"Funding per pupil in England dropped by nine per cent between 2010 and 2020." - Daily Mail

"Although the Government promised an additional £7billion for school budgets in England by 2024, the Institute for Fiscal Studies has warned that spending per pupil will still be lower than 2010 levels in real terms. - Daily Mail
