Too many would not allow any outside help in organising government and security forces.

There was supposed to be about 75000 Taleban, but if 75000 were killed, there would be at least 75000 replacements.

Jack Straw was interviewed on a breakfast news programme and he pointed the finger at Pakistan.  Saying there was a road between Pakistan and Afganistan,  with support being provided to the Taleban.

We could do with some help from you.

1. The Afghan Taliban were largely created, trained, housed and supplied through pakistan (allegedly) and there would always be Taliban replacements while there is Pakistan

2. As soon as the Taliban returned to Afghanistan, without an external force suppressing them, was there any real doubt that they would be in power even if elections were held given the lack of society building and modernising over the last 20 years?

3. The Army maintained order as far as they could, Politicians controlled what was built or not, and Afghanistan under the west for the last 20 years was built on graft

Raab and Johnson didn't come out of it well yesterday in the Commons. Theresa May was scathing and Tom Tugendhat spoke well.

‘I do find it incomprehensible and worrying that the United Kingdom was not able to bring together not a military solution but an alternative alliance’

Plus a tweet from Pippa Crerar of the Mirror yesterday. 'Boris Johnson asked if 15,000 Afghans who will have to wait years for resettlement should just "hang about and wait until they've been executed?" He doesn't have an answer.'

It's being pointed out on Twitter that Johnson has offered to take 3-5 million from Hong Kong. Also that Britain took 28,000 Ugandan asians when Patel's parents arrived.

Ok

Brief breakdown

THe US and its allies were in Afghanistan to 'get' Bin Laden, and the Taliban because they wouldn't 'get' bin laden at the US request even though the Taliban probably had damn all to do with 9/11

It dragged on, with claims now it was 'never' about nation building - and they didnt

- Just 20 years and a couple of $Trillion and loads of allied (lol - servants) and US deaths as a ... whatever it was

The US has long wanted out, but couldn't see how without losing face, standing and credibility, and Afghanistan reverting to largely 'as it was' with the yanks and their allies looking like idiot losers.

Then last year Trump just said the taliban are fine upstanding gents we'll get out and hand it back to them and f*ck the idiots we have maintained in power at great cost for 20 years

Biden was caught between a rock and a hard place, so rather thanbreak the rock and soften the hard place, he just head butted the rock.

The Us expected the Afghan military to hold out for 3-6 months (90 days most likely scenario) before they were all killed and the Taliban won anyway

= but that would have given the US time to get their people out while the Afghan Army, with not even air support died to give the yanks time to get their people out

A few  Afghan units fought to the death, the Taliban targetted those likely to with mass assaults and from already embedded members threatening families and killing leaders over the prior couple months.

The rest took taliban money and walked away - and who can blame them when the leaders were legging it on preferred flights with $millions.

It all collapsed inside two weeks - leaving the yanks out on the limb they expected the Afghan troops to die on to protect them as they withdrew - leaving it all to the Taliban

This leaves the yanks and their skivvies (us) having to ship troops back in to protect the withdrawel the US thoughts Afghans would die for

Could we (the UK) have held of the Taliban alone (while the yanks left - but would want to maintain control) - not as things stand with corruption rife and the soldiers on the ground isolated and disillusioned and similar corruption and cronyism inherent in Johnson cabal

and not with total arses like:

Militant group will be judged on ‘actions not words’, says Boris Johnson

Oh course, Rabb was sunning on a beach with a do not disturb even to save Afghan Interpreters sign, which he thought was hilarious during the emergency parliamentary session - he undoubtedly wont resign over the failure or his abhorrent inappropriate humour

Good job global britain is only in the populists heads as we've lost ALL credibility

and a populist ****** is alleged to have said to Starmer:

= err thats exactly the case isn't it?

Oh and it seems the Island of Ireland is doing great without the uUK

"The latest snapshot from the CSO showed the value of goods imported from Northern Ireland to the Irish Republic rose by 77% to almost €1.8bn in the first six months of 2021, compared with the same period in 2020.

Exports from the Irish Republic to Northern Ireland rose by 40% to almost €1.6bn over the same period, reflecting increased cross-border trade since Brexit as the region effectively remained in the EU’s single market for goods."

"It has emerged that Mr Raab and other Tory MPs who are now senior cabinet ministers maligned “lazy” British workers in a book they co-authored in 2012.

Britannia Unchained – Global Growth And Prosperity, co-written with home secretary Priti Patel, business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng and trade secretary Liz Truss, said: “Once they enter the workplace, the British are among the worst idlers in the world.”

How strange then that the man busy on the beach and his cronies so desperately wanted rid of EU workers?

Are we seeing the early signs of a Government losing popularity ?

The Conservatives had a 20% lead in polls awhile ago, as people who voted Brexit stuck with them.

Now we are seeing many issues that the Government are struggling with,  they are coming under attack, even from Conservative backbench MP's.  Not sure Theresa May will receive a Christmas card from Boris this year.

We could do with some help from you.
