Boris Johnson, former Prime Minister

True

but do you doubt in any way whatsoever that that is the sort of figure they would have sought had they won?

I don't

Funny how the Guardian can say that the judge said it awarded ''illegally'' when they go on the quote the judge actually saying it was ''unlawful''. Tut tut.

OK. You probably don't like Jolyon Maugham either, but he is a QC. He tweeted this earlier.

'Not one but two ministers have now been found to have broken the law on procurement. It’s a vindication of what Good Law Project has been saying for months: this is institutionalized cronyism.'

Yep, he got it wrong too.

Breaking populist style news

Two men charged with allegedly sending grossly offensive, indecent, obscene, or menacing message or matter via a public communication network.

The material was alleged to contain images of Home Secretary Priti Patel.

The two men are also alleged to have sent racist material, potentially adding to their crimes.

It should be noted that the current home secretary, in between bouts of hurling abuse at those under her control,  has previously complained about a cartoon being racist as she saw it as showing her as a 'fat cow', despite the cartoon also showing whiter than Daz washed whites Johnson similarly.

Although the cartoon did show both Patel and Johnson with bovine features, it was seen by most as a simple statement on her BULLying and  a comment on what she and Boris Johnson continually spout - with no racist intent.

I actually dont agree with that headline or much of the assessment

IMO Johnson is almost certainly Antisocial Personality Disorder - where on the spectrum is harder to gauge, but certainly not high functioning

Johnson literally cant manage a pi** up in a brewary

Biggest lie of all is that the bumbling idiocy is a cover for smartness.

It would seem even Johnson thinks his own/Frosts hard sold cake and eat it 'grate deal' has quickly shown itself to just be yet another burdensome, unpalatable and inedible 'Eaton Mess' ..  made from reeaall poo

'Global Britain' has refused to let foreign journalists into the final G7 briefing.

Tweet from David Henig.

But I think more likely that the PM is simply angry that the EU and US are not believing a word he says on Northern Ireland, and is doubling down because he isn't used to this. This is, again, personal. The future of the UK rather less important than the future of Boris Johnson.

Each time I look at this thread, even the title is an offence and insult to the British (while it lasts) nation

What will we call England and Wales and its Tax haven protectorates?

Although Johnsons 'protection' runs to sub 20 miles now doesn't it?

No 10's culture war seems to be unravelling, at least I hope it is. Dividing the nation this way isn't clever. This is how the Irish Times sees it.

and at long last people are challenging him on it - far better than the 'ineffective opposition

Even the ERG *Steve Baker is using this to turn on him and Patel .. alongside the few remaining real Tories ...

his days would now really seem to be numbered, but I doubt we'll see much improvement with whatever numpty replaces him

I see the other nations of the soon to be ex union distancing themselves ever more from Johnsons England as the world considers dropping the UK off the face of the world map on  'freedom day for Covid and Covid deniers'
