First Parking/DCBL Windscreen PCN - Keele University Keele Newcastle under Lyme Staffordshire - Dcbl letter

Recommended Posts

I have received a letter from dcbl - Notice of debt recovery - Unpaid parking charge of £150

This is in relation to a parking charge I received on private land in March 2018.

The letter goes on to refer to the Supreme court decision about parking charges etc. And that I am no longer able to appeal the parking charge.

It states I now have 14 days to pay outstanding amount or discuss repayment. And that..This case is not subject to High court or bailiff action however should you fail to contact us we will recommend to our client the commencement of legal action against you.

Do I now have to pay the charge?

Is this now a legal enforcement?

Any response will be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Kitty 11

there is no need to panic you have received a letter from the Debt collecting arm of DCB. THey have absolutely no power over you at all. My dog, who died twenty years ago still has more power than them.

You do not have to pay it and by the way it is not a fine-only Courts can issue fines.

What you have is a speculative invoice from a bunch of money grabbing crooks in the parking business. And demanding £150 is blatant robbery which is just one reason why I refer to them as crooks.

To help us get rid of them without you paying, would you please complete the from below. Cover over your name and vehicle registration on the PCN but leave time and dates on.

once we have those details we can start to show you how to beat them.

From now on just ignore them, sometimes that is enough for them to go away without you doing anything and writing to them often gives away details that help them.

I take it you have not contacted them in any way yet.

Just copy and paste the answers below .

You haven't received a Letter Before Claim so you can safely ignore DCBL's tripe.

It's always a bad idea to throw away paperwork when you're in legal dispute.

In these private parking cases the companies often don't send their paperwork out in accordance with the legal time frame they're supposed to respect, but we now can't know one way or the other.  As SARs are free, personally I'd SAR First Parking to get my hands on this paperwork.

We could do with some help from you.

Thanks for the reply..the incident happened 3 years ago, they only wrote to me once and I ignored it then I am sure I binned it.  I have it on good authority that because the university made no money last year on parking fines that they are now chasing up all unpaid fines for the last 7 years.

nope, the uni get nothing out of them at all and they are NOT FINES either...

they are speculative invoices for breaking some imaginary contract the driver entered into by driving on to private land that might or might not have been managed by the fleecers on behalf of the land owner and might or might not have an on going and valid paid for contract current for that time period.
