Hi guys,

I have been having problems at work ever since I started and have now been signed off with work related stress and anxiety for a few months due to being verbally abused and humiliated in front of my colleagues on numerous occasions, it is a small company and after submitting a grievance the directors have decided to retaliate by making false accusations.

I have submitted a tribunal claim after the company ignored mediation attempts. The person involved now wants to hold a update meeting with me which I am reluctant to do based on the fact that he is the individual who made the accusations, can I refuse to attend?

Also can I request a protected conversation to negotiate my exit as I don’t feel safe to go back, if so does anyone have a template for this kind of letter?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

@dx100ukHi there, It’s a shame that you feel that I do this “every couple of years” I actually posted in 2011 as I was attacked by a colleague when I was a teenager,

I posted maybe last year or a year before for advice for my friend whom I was helping and was scared to seek advice due to working for a too tier company and now I am once again posting for myself (which may I add I thought I would never have yo do again)

I understand that it may be similar to my original issue, however if you read it properly the key facts are actually different.

Believe it or not I would not be on here to waste anyone’s time, I come on because usually the other forum users are really helpful, this is a site that I would also usually recommend to anyone having any sort of work or debt issues, but thank you for your observation and I am sorry that you feel the way you do.

i'm sure it wont detract from the excellent advice our regulars will give.

i was just curious as to how your friend and yourself seem to have these things follow them around...

sadly shows the small business employment industry has not improved over these years......

I would write back and ask what they want to update you about. No more than that. Then you can understand if it is about your grievances, your welfare, or something else.

Never assume anyone on the internet is who they say they are. Only rely on advice from insured professionals you have paid for!

@EmmzziThey have replied sayin it is a wellness meeting and now requested that I also requested that I undergo a medical examination.

seems reasonable. I'd play ball.

You can and should, insist on being accompanied, they don't need to know in what capacity your company is there for but simply say 'as a witness to procedure' if they insist on knowing why.

Are you a Union member? If so contact them and ask for them to attend.

You are within your right to record the meeting in its entirity and I recommend that, record from the outset - if they object, politely decline to continue, citing the reason as they would not let you record the meeting.
