I sent my Prelim letter to halifax on the 16th of November and recieved no response, I am claiming £798 in charges over the 6 year period recent charge is £39 on the 14 November 2006 puzzled about the charge as it is alot considering I do paperless banking online????

 

How ever have now sent my LBA today and will proceed from there wish me luck

Hi Borgonian,

Did you send the letters by registered post? To ensure you have a good case if they do defend, you need to prove they have received your letters otherwise they will claim they never received them.

Hi.

I didn't register my first or second letters to start with either, but as soon as I realised I sent another copy of the LBA which I registered. I would give them 14 days from the date of the registered letter so there can be no argument about 'reasonable time'. As soon as the 14 days are up file your claim. The MCOL method is really easy. Mail me if you need further help.
