In respect of being able to deal with defaults on your file – they would rather break their own legs, eat their own children or do something disgustingly rude to their grannies than tamper with any entries they have already placed on your credit file

Thankyou. My point was more..does paying the default help with general lending going forward. I'm not looking to borrow anything for a long time but in the general sense is it wise to pay them or at least get them marked as satisfied

Our position is that you should pay your debts unless there is a legal reason not to such as that the debt is now unenforceable and it causes you difficulty.

In terms of whether it helps to have paid the debt – well if it is marked as "settled" then somebody might be more willing to lend you money – but I think it tends to be then a matter of discretion of the lender.

list your debts please

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

well cabot and hoist can get a CCA request each.

as for lowells most of these mobile debts are bogus monthly contractual fees until end of contract which are ofcourse are not owed.

the defaults you have will have been registered on or before the sale of the debt to the fleecing DCA/debt buyer, but the original creditor, paying a defaulted account off does nothing to improve your score nor can it remove the default

any registered defaulted date default is there regardless until it's 6th birthday when the whole account vanishes never to return regardless to it being paid or not or paying or not...

doesn't mean the debt is still not poss owed mind.

an sar is pretty much useless
