Hello, a company called Ruthbridge are calling our home number looking for my husband. They sent a recent letter stating that they are chasing on behalf of welcome finance.

The letter stated that they could make my husband bankrupt immediately.

So, we are seeking some help on our finances-my husband has been ill so our financial situation is a bit precarious.

I've just had a phonecall Ruthbridge which went along the lines of:

them: "can I speak to Mr x"

me: "sorry he's not around, can I take a message"

them: "yes, actually can I have a mobile number for him"

me: "sorry I can't give that out, can I take a message"

them: "well I said yes didn't I"

blah blah I took the message

me: "can I take a company name"

them: "ruthbridge"

me: "will he know who you are and what it's about"

them: "well he and you will when we turn up at your house"

and he hung up

So, I called back to get their head office address and firstl they wouldn't give me it until I told them which area I was calling from, when I didn't they would only give me a PO box number.

They then put me through to the same guy that called initially and he tells me "get him to get in touch" and just hangs up on me!

These people are vile. We need to write to them to state that we are seeking help but also that it's not acceptable for their attitude-can anyone point me in the right direction so that my letter sounds like I know what I'm talking about? The chap who keeps calling is a vile little man and I'd really appreciate some help.

Many thanks
