I have car that a mechanic friend had abandoned on his property.

He went through the process of claiming and registering and performed a HPI check and it was clear. he repaired it and sold it to me

I did another HPI at the time. Again clear,

it's now time to sell the car and it suddenly has had an HPI registered against it but not in my name.

The company that registered the debt is Debt Managers (services) LTD.

They have confirmed it's not in my name and they have never contacted me chasing any sort of payment.

How on earth do i get someone elses debt removed from my car?

I

  • Goatan changed the title to I have posted this in the wrong palce please could someone delete this and I will create it in the correct place.

Debt manager services are arrows dca in sheeps clothing

So they must have purchased a HP car finance debt that funded the car at some point.

You need to investigate why the original creditor sold the debt.

Who were they? Do you know?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
