. Today I was stopped for not paying for 2 sets of batteries,

I had a shopping trolley of paid £112 food.

They slipped under my bag and didn’t see them!

I left the store and the beeper went off.

The following occurred

- I got a ban, they took my details I paid for 2 batteries and left.

Apart from ban from the stored what other repercussions?

Do they hold on file what you “didn’t pay for” or just do they hold a file that you are banned?

Don’t want to be know as a serious shoplifter as I know people in the store!

I heard about compensation letters being sent out.

The manager said “you paid so that’s it” - made me feel really

awful and horrible tummy but it was my fault and I totally understand.

You ignore the DWF letter you get totally

There is no info they are allowed to share due to GDPR

Just stay out that store for a few weeks

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thankyou.

It’s flared my anxiety up to the max over a genuine error.

I’m really bothered that if they share info or other people could check my photo they have on store it would give them details and what I done.

Do they just store your photo or is just if you face flags up they see it?

sorry never ever been in this position before....

Why do they send out letters if

1) paid for the good in question and

2) if people don’t pay?

thanks

It was my mistake however genuine mistake they can’t see it like that, but Christ it makes you feel dog awful! I paid and the manager said “it’s sorted you paid for the goods but I have to issue a ban” x thanks I will ignore the letter no matter how intimidating they make me feel!
