If you are interested in photography – meaning that you are really interested in photography – taking pictures – and not simply getting geeky about the equipment you have and the next best thing and whether a lens is sharper than another or the number of pixels, then here is a remarkable website/forum.

It's very small – and I suppose in a way you could say that it is geeky in the way that it is simply devoted to the quality of people's picture taking.

Lots of real discussions about photography and lots of hints and advice about taking good pictures.

Any kind of camera is fine – even mobile phones. Lots of information about pinhole cameras as well.

Lots of very useful and unusual tutorials about various aspects of picture making if you are prepared to pay the 5 pounds for six months membership.

Also, a YouTube channel
