What I'm wondering is whether the same laws apply in Ireland as in England i.e

- Can I claim statements for the last 6 years?

- Can I claim back bank charges wrongfully taken?

- Do the same acts still apply?

If you could answer the above I'd be eternally grateful.

Hi Kev, welcome to our forum.

The laws are virtually the same. The maximum claim for small-claims court I think is £2000.

If you want to claim more than that, just split your claim and then when you have settled the first claim, then start action for the remainder.

Read, read, read the FAQs and the step by step guide, that will answer most of your questions.

Good luck with your claim.
