Hi,

I found out that AXA took out three unauthorised payments from my Santander current account during the last week.

I do not  recollect having made any contracts with them.

Santander made me aware by contacting me with a routine fraud alert contact.

I  had the card that the monies was coming out from stopped and a new card is on its its way to me.

AXA has refunded the monies they have taken out , whilst i am awaiting my new card. , but I have not contacted them .

Can AXA do this again?

Thanks in advance.

be very careful here

santander should know better IMHO

the funds would have been taken via i suspect a fraudulent ins application by someone using your address or a case of identity theft.

have you moved of recent? or don't carefully scan then shred stuff before binning it? or got rid of an old card?

it could also have been someone you gave your card to recently has skimmed it on a machine?

you need to check with Santander that there is no open continuous payment authority  to AXA .

was this motor insurance or home or whatever? i suspect motor insurance..

Thank you,

Yes i have recently moved about three weeks ago.

I haven't made any transactions with AXA so I don't know why they took money from my account.

Santander says it will be sending me information shortly and I will be picking up my new card at a named branch shortly.

Thanks again.

def going to be the new owners of your old home or someone raiding their bin then and finding your stuff they've thrown away.

did you set up mail redirect and tell ALL creditors listed on your credit file and anyone else that you have a debt with that remained unpaid for say the last 7 yrs ... of your correct & new address in WRITING. and ofcourse the DVLA regarding any driving licences and car V5C's?
