Hey everybody, hope you are all well

Overall I'm just interested on how the Canadian creditor will chase me in the UK with some unsecured debt.

I understand that they would need a judgement in Canada before anything could happen here in the UK?

Also, how does the statute of limitations work? Can this change(from the province's statute of limitations) now that I've moved(to the UK's 6 years)?

Thank you!

never seen or heard of a Canadian debt being successfully adjudicated in the uk.

however, are the original creditors aware of your correct address in the uk?
ie have YOU told them in writing?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Are you back in the UK permanently now, or at least for the forseeable future.

Your location will not change the Stature of Limitations - Canada is the same as the UK (6 yrs) but this is irrelevant if not action has been taken against you so far.

If I might pitch in here, I my family and I are dual national Canadian British, we lived in Quebec, and came back to the UK some years ago, with some Canadian debts.  They won't do a thing to pursue it, end of.  Absolutely nothing to worry about!
