hello to you all!

This is all very new to me, I feel like I am going through the motions without really understanding what I am doing! I have done all the template letters etc... as it stands they owe me £1445, with interest its £1643. I was offered £725 as a "goodwill gesture" which I declined but added I would accept £1200. they got back to me today saying a big fat no, but if i still wanted the £725 I needed to fill in the slip and send it back to them.OK so its nearly christmas and £725 would be handy, they said my account would be credited with the money in 7 days, I am a single (skint) parent but at the same time I cant help thinking of the christmas 2 years ago £60 they had off me on the 23rd december, spoiled chrismas.I need to fight it all the way.Soooo I have all my court papers ready to put my claim in tomorrow, I was thinking should I try ringing Barclays to speak to a human, and give them the chance to reconcider my offer for £1200?? what do you think? and does anyone have any phone numbers of nice people at barclays? swansea are dealing with me at the moment.

many thanks and the best of luck to you all!:p

You seem very well prepared, i dont think phoning really works to your advantage as barclays seems to have a fairly standard proceedure they stick to, here is a phone no of there customer relations department, all my correspondences with them have had it on the letter head 0800 282390. You could always try is and it is a freephone no. As for the offer say no and stick to your guns, its like been short changed if someone has taken YOUR money you dont just ask for half back. Good luck
