Amazon / EBuyer warranty

Recommended Posts

Hi, just a quick question to get my facts straight

I purchased a Polar smart watch from Amazon on 14th April 2020,

it stopped communicating with my phone about 2 weeks ago,

I've spent the last couple of weeks in communication with Polar, try this, try that etc.

They have now said its faulty.

I went onto Amazon to file a return and Ebuyer have closed it with the following statement

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your item.
Given the age of the product the warranty is now held with the manufacturer.
For the quickest resolution please contact them on https://  support.polar.com/ uk-en and they should look to repair / replace the item for you.
You may require a copy for your invoice as proof of purchase.
This is generated directly through Amazon.
This is done via the drop-down menu on the order / purchase history page on your Amazon account.

I thought that my warranty was via the supplier?

Are they able to bypass this and push me to go to Polar directly, F

ailing after 6~7 weeks to be told "given the age..." seems a bit wrong

Forget the warranty

that means nothing

and a warranty does not replace or over rule your rights under CRA amongst other consumer legislation.

which state that outside of 30days but within 6mts its the sellers that are responsibility to confirm the item faulty, which has been done.

contact amazon with that proof and demand a replacement, refund or repair as they feel fit.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

if everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's tomorrow

the biggest financial industry in the UK, DCA;s -  would collapse overnight.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs - that's why they will never tell you they are not bailiffs and have absolutely zero legal powers on any debt.

Thanks for the message that is what I thought. In the mean time they have sent another message, below, I can’t follow up with Amazon until 48 hours. But I will go armed.

“Your return period is 30 days with ourselves and then you are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.”
