Hi,

Any advice gratefully received.  We went to a local hand car wash on Saturday and they put one of the dangly smelly air fresheners over the gearstick instead of hanging from the mirror.  I noticed this but didn't think anything of it until we got into the car yesterday and noticed where it had been leaning on the dash console (it is a Vauxhall Zafira) it has lifted the plastic surface and it is blistered and raised in an area about 4cm diameter.

I'm going back to the cash wash today to complain and ask for insurance details, has anyone else had experience?

Many thanks

You should certainly point it out to them as quickly as possible. Do in writing.

However, you will need to assess the cost of the damage – the repair –.
I don't know anything about this vehicle – is a new vehicle? Although the damage might be unsightly, is it very important to you to get it repaired? Or would simply a financial compensation satisfy you?
