New here and got a problem with Hermes. 
 

I had a calling card left at my shop (closed due to virus) that a parcel had been left at the only shop left on the row that’s open. I never give consent for parcels to be left anywhere.  The shop accepted it in good faith. I eventually managed to retrieve the parcel, after some persuasion from the car outside the shop (shielding due to underlying health conditions)

 

As soon as the parcel was placed in the car I knew it wasn’t mine. The parcel has come from The Netherlands and has an address label, an NL post label and a Hermes label. The address label and NL post label have one address and postcode for the next town but same borough. The Hermes label has a mix of the original address but my post code. I was not given the chance to refuse this parcel as it’s clearly not mine.
 

I’ve emailed the CEO as Hermes are absolutely useless at being contactable. I’ve been passed on to 3 different advisers via email. The last one today has decided that Hermes have correctly delivered the parcel and so if I want to send it the the who I think is the correct recipient then I need to do so at my cost. 
 

I have emailed the CEO again, as I find this bewildering that despite having nothing to do with the parcel, they are suggesting I pay to send it on. I sent them a photo of the item. 
 

How do I deal with this situation?

write a letter to the person that should have the parcel or find them on social media and tell them you have it.

 

I would already expect they have an open complaint somewhere.

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Can’t find them on social media and can’t write to them as I not allowed to go out unnecessarily, I was out for medical reasons when I managed to get the parcel.

After several emailing Hermes and eventually being told the would no longer converse, I emailed the CEO again and they have now decided to collect the parcel.
