Recommended Posts

According to the Daily Express charges for Staff parking at hospitals is to be removed for the duration of the crisis, can't see that going down to well with thePPCs that have been on a feeding frenzy on hospital staff. Wonder how things will go with the many parking Eye invoices sent out for overstays the past 2 weeks with all the queues making it impossible for shopper s to comply?

"9.12am update: Boris scraps car parking charges for NHS staff

The UK Government has announced parking charges for NHS staff will be lifted while they fight the coronavirus outbreak.

The move came after a huge public outcry in response to nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers working on the front line having to pay hefty parking charges to park at work.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced the change in policy on Wednesday night and said the Government would give immediate financial backing to all NHS trusts to provide free car parking to NHS staff."

This Crisis might force some of the fleecers out of business. That would be one silver lining for sure to a very bad situation

It would be interesting to compile a list of NHS car parks and the names of the companies which apparently "manage" them and fleece hospital staff and other key workers as well as patients and their visitors.

It's a shocking scavenging bottom-feeding trade for the bounty hunters.

Would be good BF Might be worth compiling a list, as members can check and report in which infests where, maybe post them into this thread. there are none in Wales as there is no charge for hospital parking in Wales.
