So far as I understand it, the Moneyclaim system is still working – and I suppose a lot depends on whether your defendant is working or not. If they're not working then presumably they want respond to the claim and you will be able to put in for a default judgement.
Believe they have had BT out to presumably increase capacity at the nearest connection points to their offices.
How much scope would BT have to increase capacity to deal with that numbers of calls ?
People are reporting when they phone, they are cut off most times and do not even enter the call queuing system. If DWP's call system does not have capacity for 2 million phone calls a day, what options do they have ? It will calm down , as the claims start being processed with necessary actions being taken.
Universal Credit as an online system is probably still better than a paper based system which is used in some countries including some US states. There are videos online showing very long queues outside Florida Labor offices.
