UKPCS Windscreen PCN - Not within Bay - Imperial Retail Park, Gravesend

Recommended Posts

A shopping trip had the added excitement of finding a parking charge notice from UKPC on the car for "not parking correctly within the markings of the bay or space". The driver believes they were parked correctly but the notice does not mention where photographic evidence can be seen.

Furthermore the notice has printed without showing the charge amount, there is something printed in the space for reduced charge but it is overprinted onto other text so that the amount can not be seen apart form guessing it looks all like zeroes.

Are there grounds for appeal based on the above or should I ignore?

so you wait for them to send the keeper of the vehicle the NTK which must arrive between 29 and 56 days after the date of the event. The wording of that has to match key phrases in the POFA or no liability is created and other wording must be used to create a KEEPER liability.

In the meanwhile their operative will ahve takenpictures and probably from a strange angle to show that you owe them money. can you go back to the car aprk and photograph the exact place you were parked and ideally put you vehicle in the same spot and then MEASURE the width and length of the bay according to the markings there.

dont appeal this yet, by the time we have all of the info it may be a thing you wont be doing anyway so dont be in a rush to try and make this go away as rushing  often makes you trip yourself up

Thank you, OK I'll wait to get the NTK.

Need to see if the driver remembers exactly where they parked.
