MA Student Housing Help difficulties

Recommended Posts

I have followed this up at Housing Benefit and made a new claim at UC but have been disallowed any extra help with my housing costs. Even Student Finance and the Universiity itself seem like a dead end. Is there no provision for this ? I do some self-employed work but not enough so am living on £3000 for the year. which is just not enough. Many thanks.

Hi.

As far as I can see you haven't posted about this before. I don't think Atos are your problem but can you tell us more about what's happened please, so we can move you to the right subforum?

Sorry what are ATOS...I'm wondering what benefits I am entitled to due to this situation. Thanks.

Atos is the forum you've posted in, they carry out 'medical' assessments for the DWP.

I'm not clear if your query is about housing benefit or UC, can you tell us more please so we can get you to the right forum?

It's about both because both have refused me help with my housing...

I'll move you to the main benefits forum and see if you get more replies there. The guys may ask you more questions in order to advise you.

ATOS have nothing to do with housing.

What student loans do you have and what are they for? i.e. bursary for child, loan for fees, maintenance loans etc.

Do you have a partner and/or a child?

Is the course full or part time?
