More stage 2 lockdowns announced all over

Could this all be part of Cummings plan to get everyone to think:

'This is madness, they are just spouting complete censored.jpg.9396d90766584771f8269f50dd6b9f6c.jpg while they do whatever they like, and give billions of our taxpayer money to their mates for doing little more than censored.jpg.9396d90766584771f8269f50dd6b9f6c.jpg all but pretend to have systems that  just excuse them locking us down.

censored.jpg.9396d90766584771f8269f50dd6b9f6c.jpg em'

So the virus spreads an kills 100s of thousands, and 100s of thousands more are thrown out on the street to starve, clearing the country for lorry parks and fracking with 'parks like snowdonia reserved for wealthy estates for the privileged ... all before the next general election.

Nothing else actually makes any sense whatsoever.

I think of all the absolutely unconscionable acts of Johnson, and there are some lulus

That he will happily pay millions and millions to the private sector to fail while allowing UK children to go hungry defines him

Poorer pupils will not receive free meals during school holidays, No 10 insists

"In July, Mr Rashford forced the prime minister into a humiliating U-turn, which delivered the free meals throughout the long summer holidays.

But the prime minister’s spokesman insisted it would not be repeated – despite the spread of tougher restrictions across England, as coronavirus infections surge – insisting: “We are in a different position now.”"

"The England striker stepped up his campaign by launching a Commons petition, saying: “Whatever your feeling, opinion or judgement, food poverty is never the child's fault.

“In 2020, no child in the UK should be going to bed hungry, nor should they be sat in classrooms concerned about how their younger siblings are going to eat that day, or how they are going to access food come the holidays.”

"The Food Foundation charity has released data which suggests nearly a fifth (18 per cent) of eight to 17-year-olds reported they struggled to eat properly over the summer holidays."

I forget which minister was being asked about people who need financial support to be able to self-isolate but I was appalled. They said that the UK's scheme is one of the most generous and that people who couldn't manage on 2/3 of the minimum wage would be helped by the welfare system.

I imagine they meant Universal Credit which has a waiting time of at least five weeks. They didn't mention that part. These people have no idea what it's like to live from one wage packet to the next and to have nothing in the bank. 😠

As the country prepares for an extended lockdown even its own experts say is too late and wont work - across a disastrous Brexit

Handcock and Sercoes private sector 'Dont Trace Tests or Contacts high paid consultants System' records most abysmal results ever

"the overall percentage of contacts who were reached and asked to self-isolate since Test and Trace launched, (FELL) from 91.1 per cent to 62.6 per cent in the latest week.”

despite a boost to the figures from the real local test and trace doing the difficult ones at a tenth the cost:

"For cases handled by local health protection teams, 97.7 per cent of contacts were reached and asked to self-isolate in the week to 7 October."

Often teams on the ground delivering and collecting self-administer test kits - not exactly highly paid.  All ways round it's impossible to justify paying huge sums to the few for them to do little while there's a proven and cost effective method.

Fantasy climate emergency?

Is this the right wing trying to 'spoil' the scientific opinion that human driven climate change is the greatest threat to humankind that there is?

and trying to link it to anything and everything that might support a right wing opinion? Like lockdowns due to pandemic outbreaks - rather than that those pandemic outbreaks actually having strong links to climate change drivers?

and that no-one apart from right wing erg/Mercer type profiteers who give not one sh .. wit for the problems fracking, fossil fuel burning and asset stripping the world for profit causes the masses ..

.. because the profiteers have enough money to move .. like rees-mogg and redwood advised all their customers when the ERG got their Brexit .. unlike most of the rest of us

Hope not.

If that is the case - present your evidence - in the right thread where that opinion has already been well and truly debunked.

certainly hope its not just opportunism to throw an otherwise worthless soundbite - as right wingers do.

I see they're going to give the police details of people who've tested positive.

As people have said on Twitter, rather than trust the public and send round local public health to support them, they're going to send the police to enforce self-isolation. [Assuming they have the time.]

Opinion is that this will deter people from being tested in the first place and their contact details will be lost to the authorities.

and take the strain off the collapsed Private test and trace so they can go back to profiteering for playing games in call centers and claiming they have more 'capacity' than needed.

Of course they haven't factored in the False Positives either  the App is far from foolproof due to the Bluetooth tech used.

On another note Mark Drakeford is being a muppet . He is regarded as a  useless Cardiff Boyo in the North,  he pre decided a lockdown while claiming no decision yet, misleading the Senedd  Now it looks like hospital appointments will be cancelled for duration of lockdown, they aren't confirming they can go ahead.  Gething was caught in a BBC Wales interview stating businesses MUST close so Welsh Gov can claim the brass to pay then compensation during lockdown.

A touch less reliance on apps, algorithms and ‘experts’ modelling maybes would have worked so much better.

I have read that

I'm not Welsh or live in Wales so have no nation'al axe to grind regarding it : so:

That seems to be the welsh tories whinging THEY weren't told while businesses were briefed on Westminster Tory government 'options'?

(Bit rich from Tories who have been briefing via the mail and telegraph while lying through their teeth about just about everything)

Isn't the circuit breaker option the actual scientific advice and given to westminster tories weeks ago - and Johnson/Handcock/Gove decided against weeks ago - largely due to the negative perception it would display them in while sending kids and students back into schools - yet still likely to implement a month late now its too late - or after covid been well and truly spread?

..and the Welsh tories further whinging that the welsh wanted the 'available' westminster financial support for welsh businesses?

So whats wrong with that, and what has any of that got to do with the M4?
