Cabot/? claimform - old Aqua card debt

Recommended Posts

Got advice from this forum many moons ago to help my son and now doing it again!

He has received county court claim from Cabot for Aqua credit card debt.

He has been paying Cabot but has now defaulted.

Son is not forthcoming about his level of debt but I know there is at least one other credit card that has been withdrawn and several payday loans.

I'm pretty sure that what he earns doesn't service his debts as he never has any money.

There is no statement from Cabot showing payments he has made but he thinks the amount shown on the claim is correct. (£1033.99)

He has not yet acknowledged the claim which is dated 10th January.

So is it now too late to try and get a settlement figure as it's going to court?

It's not something I have any experience of.

He just says he owes the money and that's it.

He says he is in so much debt now it's beyond him coping with it,

Thank you.

if you can persuade him to come to this forum we will help him to cope with his debt and maybe that will give him confidence for dealing with these things in the future
