Need help with N244 wording please. Hungry Marston bailiff lurking.

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I need help filling out my N244 form please, particularly question 3, as I know wording is important. And have no idea how to go about filling it out correctly.

My situation is as follows:

my TE7 application was refused on 6/12/19 under Part 75.5(1) of the CPR.

But, confusingly, it was accepted a few weeks beforehand.

The OOT reason I gave was that I had tried to settle things with Lambeth Council.

After my TE7 was initially was accepted, however, Lambeth Council followed up to the courts and myself with information that led to its later refusal.

Their argument was that this was the second time the case had been escalated to TE9 application stage.

The reason for this was because Lambeth did not issue me with the initial PCN after the Court had cancelled the additional fees.

I had written to them to do so, but I got no reply, just additional fees.

Fast forward to today,

the Marston bailiffs have come knocking, and

I have now been issued a 'Final Notice',

I need to get this form out ASAP.

I have been out of work for around 4 months, so should be eligible for a waiver.

 Last question,

once sent, in general how long does it take for the court to process my N244 application, and place a hold on the bailiffs?

This is assuming that they will even do this.

Thank you for taking time to read this.

I really do appreciate platforms like this.

Forever Hopeful
