PESS Claim , DRP and Gladstone Solicitors

We received DRP Letter in October that we owe them 140 pounds as we didn't pay PESS on time.

We called DRP as we have not received any parking charges letter from PESS.

 

We live in the flat and normally if we are parked at wrong place, we will get tickets on our window shield which was not the case this time.

DRP didn't want to listen to us and asked us to pay them on the phone same time.

We asked them to send us the proof which they declined.

 

After that they started calling my husband on his phone which they noted when we called them initially. 

After 3rd call, husband got annoyed at them and ask them to stop harassing him at work.

 

In November we started getting letter from Zenith Collections for the same, which we ignored.

Now yesterday, we received the letter from Gladstone Solicitors that we have to pay the agent (DRP) of their client (PESS) 140 pounds or go to court.

We would like some guidance.

Shall we pay and be free or we have any chance of winning this case.

Hi as this appears to be about a Parking Charge from a PPC,   I have moved your thread to the Private Land parking Forum, where you should get advice targeted to the situation

 

could you give some history about what the Invoice was for  and who the parking Contractor is  Did you appeal the charge, and it looks like you have had letters from the dreaded useless Gladstones demanding payment  Could you give the information asked for on this sticky and also post the  letter from gladstones to see if it is a Letter Before Claim/Action?

the reality is that PESS dont and cant obey the law so rely on using a bunch of bandits to frighten you.

 

Now the problem is you have tried to sort the matter out without actually knowing what it is about and also the do's and do'nts of  such things and now you are being harassed because you have given them the method to do so.

 

you need to start at the beginning and tell us what you think this may be about

so do you live in a development that uses private parking contractors?

If so, who?

 

Show us some pictures of the signage there and also tell us about the parking scheme

- ie who issues the permits,

is the development managed by agents,

what does the lease of your flat say about parking and so on.
