Cabot Natwest Card debt - now Moorcroft & wetcloth. was NOA Transferable?

Recommended Posts

I have a credit card debt that was bought by Cabot.

A NOA was issued to me by the OC.

After completely ignoring them, Cabot have since sold the debt on to Westcot who i have also ignored.

They are now using Moorcroft to try and scare me.

If it came to progression through the courts, would the original NOA have any significance now or would Westcot have to aquire a new one?

Thanks

If Cabot sold the debt on they would have to send out a new NOA.

Even debt buyers sell on debts and the companies that buy them tend to be very aggressive in trying to enforce but that usually happens when there is some security to the debt.

a duff credit card loan wouldnt be of much interest to anyone else once the card co has sold it for a few pence in the pound.

Thanks

So Cabot still own the debt then?

I've also had letters from Resolvecall, perhaps they're getting desperate.

I've completely ignored every single letter from everyone up until now,

should I continue to do this or maybe start requesting proof of debt ownership from Cabot?

The default is about 2 yrs.

as the letters say..our client..

resolvecall are as powerless as any DCA, they are not bailiffs

why not CCA Cabot?

who's the OC?

The OC is Natwest

Would CCA Cabot be recommended? I've ignored everything until now.

opps NEVER EVER moved without informing any creditor or the now DCA debt owner of this fact on any debt say not paid within about 7yrs

next thing you'll have is bailiffs at your door for a Backdoor CCJ you knew nowt about.

get a CCA request off to cabot

kills 2 birds then.

I've already done the CCA request with them years ago, I've got a letter from them saying the debt in 'unenforceable' - should i still inform them of address change?
