Just a quick update National collections office have today offered on behalf of capquestc a 50% discount on the £940 balance owed

This is time limited until 10th October obviously they have no signed credit agreement or they wouldn't be offering a 50% discount

Is it safe to say another one out of the milking parlour

Excellent, yes 50% discount is their secret code for, ''We've got nothing''.

You can always ignore their arbitrary time limits too. They have delusions of grandeur!

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Letter from capquest who took over from national collections of £960 debt

As mentioned above they offered a 50% reduction then a 60% reduction

The latest letter from them says if they dont hear from us by Oct 31st they will arrange a home visit from  resolvecare without further notice

A :Should I just ignore it

B : Send a CCA request ( which has been done previously)

what's the likelihood of them attending my property and if they do what is the best cause of action

Thanks

Yep sorry it's a solutions finance card account

They seem to be playing pass the debts around to each other which can make it confusing

I need to sit down dig all the letters out of the box I put them in and file them for each separate debt

I have CCA this debt originally I think it was about 2 years ago

blimey

that card must go back to the early 2000's

originally a store card

then was changed to a credit card under the littlewoods name

then I believe eventually they went over to it being a littlewoods branded Barclaycard.

I would suspect, you signed no new credit agreement when it went fron a limited use store card to a credit card

so for a start that's against the consumer credit act [see the M+S store card debacle in the M+S forum]

they'll never get an enforceable signed agreement, as there never was one.

ring any bells.??

A DCA can knock on your door whenever they like, it would only be harrassment if they repeatedly did it.

Just ask them who they are before answering any questions such as 'Are you Mr X?' and when they say they are a DCA just tell them to bog off and shut the door.

Film them if possible.
