Hi - I hope I am doing this right?? My daughter banks with Nat West and over the last month they have deducted a total of £266 in bank charges, each time forcing her to be overdrawn. Is this legal as she is only 17?

Thanks anyone!:-x

No as far as i am aware this is not just unlawful as we would normally see charges but illegal (possibly the CCA comes into play here)? Have you tried ringing the bank to ask why they have given credit to a minor?

This happened to my sister over 10 years ago my mum promptly went into the bank and asked why they had let a child go overdrawn as it was illegal, the charges were immediately refunded with £10 extra into her account!
