This week I spent life savings on a  brand new campervan .

Driving it back a plate underneath came off due to over heating which melted the glue.  They collected the van and have repaired without my consent with gaffe tape and glue .

I have asked for my moneyback they say'' where you agreed for us to repair the trim. The Consumer rights act does not allow rejection of goods under such circumstances.''  Is this correct? I paid 60 k I am heartbroken

Which company are you dealing with?

In order to take advantage of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act, the short-term right to reject, you have to notify them – preferably in writing – within 30 days. Did you do this?

Secondly, has it been repaired to a new standard or is the tape and the glue that you are referring to a substandard repair?

What is the plate underneath which came off?
