returned to work 3 weeks ago under light duties.

asked about holidays that was due for the year.

was told that the manager would have to consult the owners to see what the score is on this.

seems like im no longer entitled to holidays due to my health.

Although the manager should know the situation, it doesn't seem unreasonable that he needs to consult. Is it a small firm where they don't have a very sophisticated HR Department? Have you had a response yet? How long ago did you ask about this?

See this:

..., employees continue to build up their holiday entitlements while they are off sick, but don't have to take their holiday during that time. They can carry it over to the next year if they haven't been able to take holiday while sick.
