I certainly didn't let him in the house. I don't recall him saying that the goods were bound. Rather this was just in the letter that he left.
What do you mean by "listed your mams goods"? He really just said that he could escalate the "case" if I didn't pay and that they could start seizing goods from within the house.
No I can't see any kind of name or any sort of detail about the claim. The only information is my name, old address, judgement date, the amount, court name i.e. County Court Business Centre and a case reference number.
I'll see about getting a copy of the claimform.. I wonder if I contact
Bristow & Sutor
If they'll shed any light on what the debt is actually for (apart from the CTAX element) and if they have obtained a CCj against me. If not then the guy at the door is totally full of shit about seizing goods.
Thanks for all help everybody, it's greatly appreciated.
There's no off-the-shelf timetable for a trade agreement. Trade deals typically evolve over centuries but the UK is in a really unusual situation as it had adopted the EU's trading arrangements for the last 40 odd years and suddenly it finds itself without a trading agreement with any nation on earth, or even a recent history of having one. It's like a country of 60 million + people with a comparatively large economy moving on to planet earth and starting from scratch.
As a democracy the UK has a lot of competing interests and so we won't just be negotiating trade deals with other nations, we'll also have to negotiate with ourselves which will take forever and a day and in the meantime the uncertainty damages our economy. This is why Brexit is the disaster it is.
I have to submit my amended defence by 18th Dec, I’ve never done an amended defence and would really appreciate any pointers. I received the court order yesterday and I will scan and put that up later today.
