It means that they have not fulfilled the requirements of Pre Action Protocol...should they proceed to litigate then you can raise that in any defence which would affect any costs claimed should they proceed to get judgment.

We could do with some help from you.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Just want to add info to the thread.

According to this article, security cheques should NOT be asked for nor can they be cashed and a criminal case filed...

favicon.ico Security cheques cannot be used to arrest defaulters | Government – Gulf News

GULFNEWS.COM

The UAE no longer considers a bounced security cheque as a criminal offence.

To confirm ADCB did make me sign security cheques (two) and also they cashed them to make them bounce and proceeded to file a CRIMINAL case.  This case was heard in court in my absence and a 1yr prison term imposed...

So according to this article that was NOT allowed?

(Source of the court case outcome was a friendly contact in Abu Dhabi Police who checked the systems..)
