According to last night's Money Programme:-

The next Money Programme, on 12th December at 7p.m. is going to be about reclaiming bank charges...

I hope that they spend some time researching this site and speaking to the wonderful Dave and BankFodder.

My posts are offered informally, without prejudice and without liability. You should seek the advice of a qualified insured professional.

Ho, this will be interesting! Hope the tv channel hasn't got an overdraft facility, else the banks might call it if they broadcast this.

I think everyone should get their claims in ASAP 'cos after this goes out the banks will be backlogged for months dealing with all the work.

We can always look on the bright side of life Janquinny. i am hoping that the boardrooms of the banks and other finanacial institutions are buzzing this morning after the court case and Egg being reported in the Telegraph and the Judge deciding £5.00 being a fairer charge and EGG deciding to appeal.

It will probably bring about a few more claims, however I would say that the Money Programme is not mainstream viewing. We had a very big hit after the Trevor McDonald programme, but that was peak viewing.

I think you will find the target audience for the MP is people that work in the financial industry. It is therefore going to be very interesting to see how they handle this subject.

  • 2 weeks later...

It seems that the snooker has been put on instead of the Money Programme BUT at 10pm on BBC 2 tonight is

BANK ROBBERY!

According to the blurb in my TV listings:

"Michael Robinson explores the row over bank penalty charges for unauthorised overdrafts and bounced payments."

Yes this was on the local BBC radio this morning, interview with someone who'd successfully claimed charges and a statement from the banks - sure you can imagine what was said without me going into details.
