Ok so they will get another company to chase me as they don't do court.

Am I right in just completely ignoring them, is there any point where I do need to take notice from them or not?

The point is simply that gym cases do not end up in court generally. Harlands/CRS don't take court action, nor will anyone else they get to threaten you.

 

Harlands/CRS are the same outfit. CRS are not a seperate DCA at all.

 

If they refer to matter to Zinc, you just ignore them and they'll go away too.

 

100's of other threads here will all tell you the same story.

Thanks Slick, one last question and then il be happy to completely ignore all contact until eventually they get bored and leave me alone.

Is there any chance they can send a baliff or someone equivalent to my house demanding money?

there are NO SUCH THING as an 'equivalent' to a bailiff.

dca's are NOT BAILIFFS on ANY DEBT

and

dca's have ZERO LEGAL POWERS 

 

bailiffs can ONLY ever be involved if:

someone takes you to court

you lose and get a CCJ,

then you fail to pay that as the judge orders

only THEN, can the claimant return to the court and ASK PERMISSION for them the COURT to send COURT Bailiffs.

 

but as gyms don't do court.

I received another letter two days ago, I have just ignored it.

 

I still get text messages at least twice a week but just delete them as soon as I receive them.

 

I have blocked and bounced all their emails so I don't know if they are trying to contact me via that.

 

I have read loads on here and I think we will hear from Zinc group for a while then probably get another letter from their solicitors but im just going to ignore all contact until they eventually give up!

 

I will keep you posted.

 

Do you know roughly the time scale before CRS/Harlands/ Zinc finally leave you alone?

I have offered to pay one months fee of £11.99 but they declined so I have ignored all contact since then

Just for clarity, these days, after you hear from Harlands/CRS, they may involve Zinc but they tend not to use a "solicitor" like Major Law any more.

 

It tends to go back to CRS who pretend they're going to take court action ....... NOT !!
